Comprehensive Restorative Dentistry in Darlington
I accept referrals from all over the region to my practice in Darlington for advanced restorative Dentistry and cosmetic Dentistry. I have trained with some of the world's leading dentists in the UK, the USA and in Europe.
I continuously strive to learn from the world's leading dental educators so that I can offer my patients the best options in restorative and cosmetic Dentistry.
I have a particular interest in the treatment and management of worn teeth. This is an increasing problem as people are living longer and keeping their teeth for longer. Restoring both the appearance and the function of worn teeth is a large part of my referral-based practice.
I also offer all other aspects of restorative and cosmetic Dentistry. I look forward to welcoming you to my practice and helping you with your dental problems. I am happy to accept referrals from referring dentists or directly from new patients.
Treatments offered for referral include:
- Treatment of the worn dentition
- Dahl treatments
- Occlusal equilibrations
- Occlusal splints
- Full arch reconstructions
- Minimally invasive cosmetic dental procedures, e.g. ABB (alignment, bleaching and bonding)
- Minimal preparation veneers (0.3mm Ultrathin veneers)
- Aesthetic anterior and posterior composites
- Ceramic onlays
- Crown, bridge, and veneer cases
- Ovate pontics for aesthetic bridgework
- Unilateral removable prosthetics
- Clear Aligners
- Inman Aligner
- Cfast (short-term aesthetic fixed ortho)
- Saliva Diagnostics
- Smile makeovers
My treatment philosophy is one of minimal intervention, and I utilise fluid abrasion and orthodontic treatment where indicated. The initial one-hour consultation for a referred patient will cost £140 and includes:
- History taking
- Assessing what the patient would actually like to achieve
- Full dental charting of hard and soft tissues
- Initial occlusal examination
- Assessment of the TMJs (jaw joint examinations)
- Clinical dental photographs
- Periodontal examination
- Tooth-wear and recession examination
- Digital radiographs were required
- Explanation of findings to the patient
An initial TMJ consultation is priced at £160.
If the patient wishes to proceed further, I will then produce a written estimate of treatment options and costs. More complex cases may require a second appointment to present treatment options to the patient, and this may require diagnostic wax-ups and articulated models. I would provide each patient with an estimate for this extra work.
Patients would return to their referring dentist once treatment is complete. I would, however, be delighted to follow up patients over time where appropriate, e.g. to review occlusal function or splint management. For dental emergencies relating to a referred patient's treatment that I am undertaking, I (or a colleague at the practice) will endeavour to provide emergency dental treatment.
